Every question in the video is solved on these exact templates, so you can see each one being filled in before you use it yourself.

What’s inside

One page per format. Each page has two blank copies to redraw and a worked example filled into the same structure.

01

Table Classification

One row, one verdict — check the cheapest disqualifier first.

Write one column per condition you're given, not one column for the final answer.

02

Drag Ranking

Anchor, then dependents, then remainder.

Check whether rank 1 means lowest or highest before you drag anything.

03

Pie Chart

Anchor or ratio — either way, the last share is free.

Solve the fourth share by subtracting the other three from 100. Never derive it directly.

04

Line Graph

Write the formula once, in words — then apply it to every point.

'Exceeds' and 'at least' are not the same word. One of them changes your answer.

05

Stacked Bar

Tag every percentage to its base before you compute anything.

Working backwards from a part to a whole? Divide by the decimal, never multiply.

Ten blank templates and seven worked examples across six pages.

How to use it

  1. 1

Print it before you sit the test

SHL lets you use scratch paper. Most people show up with a blank sheet and start scribbling — that's where the time goes.

  2. 2

Copy the structure, don't fill the sheet

Each format gives you two blank copies. They're patterns to redraw, so one printout covers every question of that type.

  3. 3

Use it while you practise, not just on the day

The layout only saves you time if drawing it is automatic. Run it on practice questions until you stop thinking about it.

Now put them under time pressure

The templates only pay off if drawing them is automatic. Run them against real interactive questions — drag, rank and plot the answer the way the actual test does it.
