Haleon HireVue 2026: the online assessment, games and video interview

By Pratham Ranjan·7 min read·

Haleon's early talent applications (graduate programmes and industrial placements) use two HireVue stages. First, a behaviour-based HireVue Online Assessment. Candidates report it has about five video questions and two short games. Second, a HireVue one-way video interview about your motivation for joining Haleon and the transferable skills you'd bring. After that comes a virtual competency interview. Below are both HireVue stages, split into what Haleon confirms and what candidates report, plus a free drill. For how the games work in general, see our HireVue games guide.

TL;DRthe 30-second version
  • Up to 4 stages: application, HireVue Online Assessment, HireVue one-way interview, virtual interview.
  • Candidates report ~5 video questions + 2 games in the online assessment.
  • Reported timings: 1 minute to prepare, 3 to answer, up to 4 retakes.
  • The one-way interview focuses on motivation and transferable skills.
  • Haleon says outcomes come within about 2 weeks of the final interview.
Definition
Haleon's HireVue assessment is the online stage of its early talent recruitment, in which candidates complete a behaviour-based assessment and, if successful, a one-way video interview on the HireVue platform.
  • The first HireVue stage tests behaviours; candidates say it includes two short games.
  • The second HireVue stage is a motivation and skills interview, screened by Haleon's Early Talent Team.
  • Retakes are reportedly generous in the first stage, but don't count on them.
  • You can't answer the motivation questions well without knowing Haleon's brands and what consumer health means.

Haleon's application stages

Haleon's early talent listings describe up to four stages:

  1. Application: your education and right to work.
  2. HireVue Online Assessment: a behaviour-based online assessment and interview.
  3. HireVue One-Way Video Interview: your motivation for joining Haleon and the transferable skills you'd bring, screened by the Early Talent Team.
  4. Virtual interview: competency-based, and it may include a case study or technical exercise. Haleon says you'll hear back within about two weeks.

If you need adjustments at any stage, Haleon's listings ask you to contact its early talent recruitment team before you start.

The HireVue Online Assessment: questions and games

Candidates describe the first HireVue stage as one session with:

  • About five behavioural video questions, with the competencies shown to you beforehand.
  • Two short games: one with shapes, and one with numbers and memory. You can take breaks between games.
  • Roughly 1 minute to prepare and 3 minutes to answer each question, with up to four retakes.
  • Your camera stays on throughout, including during the games.
These details are candidate reports
Haleon's listings describe this stage only as "behaviour based". One prep source says Haleon uses no games at all, while several candidates describe two. The format may differ by programme or year. Your invitation and HireVue's instruction screens are the reliable source.

If games are included, they're HireVue's own short cognitive tasks: each takes about 3 minutes and gets harder as you pass levels. Losing a level is normal. Our HireVue games guide explains how they're scored, and forge's game-based practice trains similar speed and memory tasks. These aren't HireVue's own games.

The HireVue one-way video interview

Haleon says this interview focuses on two things: why you want to join Haleon, and what transferable skills you'll bring. Candidates describe four or five questions with 2 to 3 minutes each. Preparation is mostly research:

  • Know what Haleon is. It's a consumer health company that was spun out of GSK in 2022. Its brands include Sensodyne, Panadol, Voltaren and Centrum.
  • Know your function. What does someone in your placement or programme actually do day to day?
  • Match two skills to the role, each with a short example and a result.
